Jon Christopher Davis (Principal, Producer, Singer-Songwriter)

After years of writing, singing and producing songs for two of the largest music publishers in the world, Warner Chappell and BMG, JCD returned home to his Texas roots to team up with fellow entrepreneur, John "Sparky" Pearson. JCD's songs have been recorded by Dolly Parton, Hal Ketchum, Tammy Cochran, Sherrie Austin, Billy Ray Cyrus and Timothy B. Schmit of the Eagles, to name a few. "Little Bird," as recorded by Sherrie Austin, peaked at number 4 on Billboard's Top Country Singles Sales Chart. USA TODAY chose his song, "The Bottom Line," as one of the most intriguing tracks from the present, past and near future.

As an artist, JCD has recorded for Warner Brothers, Sony, MCA and Palo Duro Records. His studio credentials include working with Vince Gill, Rodney Crowell, Radney Foster, Steve Lukather (Toto), Stan Lynch (Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Don Henley, Bob Dylan), Dann Huff (Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban, Faith Hill) and David Z (Prince).

In 2008, his top 40 hit, "Lone Star Attitude®," turned into a hit brand. Next time you're walking through DFW International Airport's Terminal C, stop by gate 33 and pay the Lone Star Attitude® store a visit. You can't miss it... it's the largest store in the terminal. John "Sparky" Pearson (Principal/Writer)

Along with Just Cool Music, Sparky is also the principal owner of Elk River Investments, a family business with investments in real estate, oil & gas, timber, banks, Chili's franchises and several other venture capital projects.

Prior to this, he was a founding partner in Staubach Capital Partners, a national real estate investment group. With over $8 billion of transactions completed during his tenure, he participated in the acquisition, financing and/or disposition of real estate with companies, such as Marriott, Walgreen's, Conoco-Phillips, CVS Drugstores, Barnes & Noble, Winn-Dixie, Halliburton, 7-Eleven, Sam's, Walmart, Sports Authority, Kroger, Food Lion, Baptist Hospitals and many others.

A Baylor University undergraduate with a BBA in finance, he completed his MBA in finance at the University of North Texas. "Sparky" is not only our chief business visionary, he's also VERY instrumental in all aspects of our creative.

Tim Davis (Vocal Director)

Aaron Kelley (Engineer/Producer)

With an education in jazz guitar, via the University of North Texas, and a background in Rock, Pop and Country, Aaron brings that "major label" sound to Just Cool Music. His vintage guitar and boutique amp collection would make even Eric Clapton green with envy.

Like Lennon & McCartney, Mick & Keith, Frey & Henley, Aaron and Jon Christopher have that same kind of studio chemistry. From the kernel of an idea to full on radio-ready production, together, they literally take your brand to the limit when they step inside the studio.

Outside of Just Cool Music, Aaron's golden touch has been featured on Dancing with the Stars, the 2010 MLB Playoffs and Sirius XM.  Aaron has been a part of the Just Cool Music team since 2005. He's happily married and grills the most awesome home-made pizza in Texas! Whether the studio or the kitchen, Aaron takes NO shortcuts.

Rob Wechsler (Mastering Engineer)

When Aaron and Jon Christopher complete the final mix, the last step (before distribution) is a process called Mastering. Mastering is the art of shaping the sound to have just the right amount of low-end, high-end, mid-range, sonic color, compression and presence. These adjustments take an environment where a high-quality audio path is involved. The accuracy of the monitoring, amplification, cabling and editing system plays an important role. For this crucial stage, they turn the mix over to Rob Wechsler.

Rob brings a wealth of experience to Just Cool Music. Some of his accolades include working with Loverboy, Eddie Money, Robin Zander of Cheap Trick, Dickey Betts of the Allman Brothers, Hank Williams Jr., The Judds, Willie Nelson, Kenny Loggins, Erykah Badu and The New Bohemians.

When his head's not buried between various speakers, he's usually making us all laugh with his "filterless" sense of humor! Like the rest of our team, Rob's a devoted husband and dad. He's also a mean violinist and restores classic cars. We love ya, man!

Jeff Spiller (Designer/Developer)

Having worked as a graphic artist since 1995, Jeff has been instrumental in thousands of art and web projects for companies, such as AT&T, Comcast, Time Warner and the Dallas Convention & Visitors Bureau.

Jeff oversees all of our web and graphic design needs. His approach is always cool, crisp and clean. When it comes to logos, CD covers or web pages, Jeff understands how to make your brand POP off the page.

Jeff and Jon Christopher have a long history of working together. Their creative collaboration began 27 years ago when they formed their first band together in Jeff's parents' garage. Between Jeff's creative eye and Jon Christopher's commercial ear, it's a winning combo of cool.

Taylor Trask (Social Media/PR Strategist)

Since creating his first website in 1996 (an early Country music blog), Taylor has been developing web-based strategies for new and established brands for over 15 years.

On the heels of Napster, iTunes and the explosion of internet tools, Taylor saw a tremendous shift in how brands use the internet. The web, as we knew it, was about to change and the world was becoming flat. Acting on that vision, Taylor began creating direct-to-consumer business models and technology for clients, such as Rascal Flatts, Terri Clark, Kelly Clarkson and Ticketmaster Entertainment. Taylor was also integral in the marketing of Dierks Bentley, Sugarland, Brooks & Dunn and the Professional Bull Riders.

Taylor utilizes emerging trends and technology to position your brand in the coolest light. Today's tools are more ubiquitous and open, creating an even greater need for creativity, strategy and experience. When it comes to rallying and inspiring a brand's online community, Taylor is our guy!

Eric Zukoski (Legal)

Eric is a shareholder with the law firm of Quilling, Selander, Lownds, Winslett & Moser. Eric represents and advises clients in all facets of the music industry, including music publishers, record labels, managers, recording artists and others. Eric represents and advises clients with respect to contract negotiations, copyright licensing, music publishing, royalty collection and trademark issues. Eric also administers several music publishing catalogues containing frequently-licensed material with numerous placements in TV, film and other media. Eric has been a part of the Just Cool Music team since 2008.
